Launching The Ottawa Art Gallery's 2007 donor campaign, the Partners in Art Breakfast will be an opportunity for Ottawa's business community to meet and mingle. Following welcoming words by Mayor Larry O'Brien, attendees will enjoy fascinating insights from guest speaker Edward S. Goldenberg, author of The Way It Works: Inside Ottawa.

An exclusive exhibition of masterpieces from the Firestone Collection of Canadian Art will be on view, including seldom-seen works by Paul-Émile Borduas, Jack Shadbolt, Emily Carr, A.Y. Jackson, Franklin Carmichael, A. J. Casson, Alfred Pellan, and other members of the Group of Seven.

Funds raised will contribute to free or subsidized education programs such as youth and adult workshops, curator and artist talks, summer camps and school-group tours.

Edward S. Goldenberg
Recently short-listed for the seventh annual Writers' Trust of Canada's Shaughnessy Cohen Award for Political Writing, Edward S. Goldenberg is the author of The Way It Works: Inside Ottawa (McClelland and Stewart, 2006), a bestselling book about his experiences working in the highest office of government.

He is a partner in the Ottawa law office of Stikeman Elliott. Prior to joining the firm, he was Senior Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister of Canada from 1993 to 2003. During his distinguished career in the government of Canada, he served in all major economic departments. As well, he was one of the authors of Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms. His strong reputation within the business community and the Canadian government is due to his innate understanding of public policy.
